We publish information on future call topics a few months ahead of the official call launch. We do this to give you additional time to find or build a consortium and prepare a strong proposal. Note that while topics are still under development, the texts may change considerably between the drafts published here and the final version, and you should always check the final topic texts once they are approved by the IHI Governing Board.
The following topics are under consideration for inclusion in IHI calls 14 and 15, which we plan to launch in early 2027. These will be the last calls launched under the current programme.
IHI call 14 draft topic texts
- Topic 1: Validation of human-relevant novel approaches to accelerate the discovery and pre-clinical development of innovative medicinal products and health technologies
- Topic 2: Validated, predictive approaches for clinical development of innovative personalised health technologies
- Topic 3: Transforming healthcare delivery through integrated, scalable and patient-centred care systems
- Topic 4: Advanced therapy medicinal products: Supporting manufacturing and clinical centre readiness in Europe
IHI call 15 draft topic texts
- Topic 1: A common European approach to equitable patient access to compassionate use
- Topic 2: From early endpoints to long-term outcomes: Healthcare decision-making on the use of surrogate evidence for timely patient access
The topics are currently under consultation with our States’ Representatives Group (SRG) and Science and Innovation Panel (SIP). They may therefore change considerably between the versions published here and the call launch, and applicants should check the final, approved topic texts once they are published.
Nevertheless, we strongly encourage anyone interested in these topics to start preparing a proposal and get networking with potential partners.
IHI will hold info sessions the call around the time of the call launch; these will cover the topics as well as our rules and procedures.
